The drawing of lots ceremony for the 5th National Men’s Volleyball Championship between December 21, 2021 and January 18, 2022 was held at the Qatar Volleyball Association Hall on Monday morning.
Mr Saeed Salem Al-Jamani, QVA Assistant Secretary, presided over the ceremony and Hussein Imam Ali, QVA Technical Expert, conducted the drawing of lots, attended by representatives and coaches of the clubs participating in the tournament.
The draw resulted in Al Sadd, Al Arabi, Al Shamal, Al Rayyan and Al Ahli in Group A, while Group B comprises Al Khor, Qatar, Al Wakra and Al Gharafah.
The tournament will be held in a two-group system (a round robin for each group), and the teams were distributed between two groups by an absolute lottery.
The Qatar Volleyball Association stressed the observance of the health precautionary measures issued by the Federation, the Olympic Committee and the Ministry of Youth and Sports in order to maintain the safety of everyone while competing.
