Manama, Bahrain, May 14, 2023 – Chang Yu-Sheng fired 15 points to lead Taichung Bank to a scintillating 3-0 (25-21, 25-16, 25-14) victory against the Afghanistan’s Kam Air in the 2023 Asian Men’s Club Volleyball Championship at Issa Bin Rashed Hall 1 on Sunday.
Chang Yu-Sheng tallied 10 attacks, 1 block and 4 aces to lead a bevy of strong Taipei hitters of Taichung Bank to their first victory in the eight-day championship. Teammate Tseng Hsiang-Ming also made double-digit efforts with 11 points. On the Afghan side, Wardak Sabawoon led Kam Air with 7 markers, all built from attacks.
Taichung Bank fired on all cylinders as they kept the Kam Air’s defense struggling early on in the match. They excelled in their attacks to post a leading pace and a 25-21 win in the opening set.
In the second set, Taichung Bank played better in transition plays, had the better end game, and managed to take the set by wide margin 25-16.
Taichung Bank dominated the third set from the very beginning with Chang Yu-Sheng leading the charge in attack and matched down the final stretch for the third-set win 25-14 to bag their first win in the championship.
