Manama, Bahrain, May 15, 2023 – Formidable Korean Air Jumbos Pro-Volleyball Club proved their superiority over Al-Ahli to brush aside the spirited rivals in thrilling straight-set battle 25-19, 25-21, 25-22 on the second day of their preliminary Pool A encounter in the 2023 Asian Men’s Club Volleyball Championship at Issa Bin Rashed Hall 1 on Monday.
Korean Air Jumbos Pro-Volleyball Club came up in full force in their second match against Al-Ahli. The hosts had no answer to the Koreans’ splendid offensive combinations of devastating attacks by Jung Jiseok and solid blocks from Jin Jiwe. Despite facing stiff challenge from the rivals in some moments, Korean Air Jumbos Pro-Volleyball Club comfortably clinched the first two sets 25-19, 25-21.
In the third set, the Koreans kept their pace, leaving the rivals in awe with their quick attacks and superb net-play performance. Al-Ahli tried hard to bounce back, but their attempts were in vain. The Koreans captured the set 25-22 and match.
Jung Jiseok chipped in with 17 points including 15 attacks for Korean Air Jumbos Pro-Volleyball Club, while Yosvan Hernandez scored 11 points on Al Ahli’s losing effort.
