South Australia will host the FIVB Beach Volleyball World Championships 2025
FIVB President Dr Ary S. Graça F° on Thursday welcomed Zoe Bettison, Minister for Tourism in South Australia, to the FIVB Headquarters in Lausanne Switzerland, where they discussed the opportunities that hosting the prestigious FIVB Beach Volleyball World Championships in 2025 will bring to the region.
With the 2023 edition having concluded earlier this month in Mexico, Tlaxcala, attention now turns to Adelaide, the picturesque capital of South Australia which will host the next edition of the event in 2025. It will mark the first ever edition held in the country, and will see Adelaide’s state-of-the-art open-air sports venue, The Drive, transformed into a beach volleyball coliseum for a festival atmosphere like no other.
After the meeting, FIVB President Dr Ary S Graça F° said:
“It was a pleasure to meet Minister Bettison and discuss the importance of hosting this major international tournament in Australia and the tourism boost it can deliver. We are delighted to be heading to this beautiful country for the first time in Beach Volleyball World Championships history as the global growth and popularity of the sport continues to accelerate. Australia, a clear natural fit for beach volleyball, has all the ingredients to put on a spectacular event and I am sure that athletes and fans alike will enjoy what South Australia and Adelaide have to offer.”
