Tashkent, Uzbekistan, June 9, 2024 – The CAVA U18 Volleyball Championships have reached an exciting climax, following five days of intense pool play. The top teams have now emerged, setting the stage for thrilling finals in both boys’ and girls’ categories.
In the boys’ division, Iran will face Pakistan in a highly anticipated rematch. The two teams previously clashed in the preliminaries, with Iran narrowly securing a 3-2 victory. Both teams have demonstrated exceptional skill and resilience, promising an electrifying contest in the finals.
The Iranian girls’ team also showcased their dominance throughout the tournament, remaining unbeaten with five consecutive victories. They will go head-to-head with Kazakhstan in the final showdown. In their previous encounter during pool play, Iran triumphed with a decisive 3-0 win. As the teams prepare for the rematch, spectators can expect a display of top-tier volleyball.
For the third-place matches, the Kazakh boys will compete against the host nation Uzbekistan. This matchup promises to be fiercely competitive as both teams vie for a podium finish. On the girls’ side, the Uzbek team will battle it out with Kyrgyzstan for the third spot, following a strong showing by Uzbekistan’s first team, which advanced to the semifinals.
