FIVB PRESIDENT MEETS REPRESENTATIVES FROM CAVA, MALDIVES, NEPAL, QATAR AND UZBEKISTAN AT VNL FINALS IN THAILAND

The meeting was held as part of the FIVB Observers programme

FIVB President Dr Ary S. Graça F° met with representatives from several National Federations (NFs), namely the Maldives, Nepal, Qatar and Uzbekistan, as well as the Central Asian Volleyball Association (CAVA), as part of the FIVB Observers programme during the Volleyball Nations League (VNL) Finals in Bangkok, Thailand.

Following requests from several NFs and Zonal Associations, the FIVB organised the Observer programme for future event organisers planning to host events at  Zonal, Continental and international levels. During the programme, participants observed various aspects of event organisation, engaged with key stakeholders, and enhanced their understanding of the organisational practices.

The FIVB President also listened to updates from Volleyball Family members on the latest development of volleyball in their countries and shared insights on the FIVB’s recent achievements.

Speaking after the meeting, FIVB President Dr Ary S. Graça F° said:

“It is important for our members, National Federations and Zonal Associations to see the behind-the-scenes of event organisation first-hand, and there is no better event to experience this than the VNL Finals. I am sure the valuable knowledge gained by participants during the FIVB Observers programme will be crucial for the successful organisation of volleyball events at various levels, including Zonal, Continental and international.”

The participants of the FIVB Observers programme at the VNL Finals include:

  • Mohamed Sajid – CAVA Coaches and Technical Commission (MDV)
  • Jamshid Shukrulloevich Fayziev – Vice President Federation of Volleyball of Uzbekistan (UZB)
  • Orifkhon Amirkhonov – International Affairs Director Federation of Volleyball of Uzbekistan (UZB)
  • Tarek Zakaria Soliman Abdou – Qatar Volleyball Association Manager (QAT)
  • Abdulla Nasheed – Vice President Volleyball Association of Maldives (MDV)
  • Ali Latheef – Vice President Volleyball Association of Maldives (MDV)
