KOREA CLINCH TOP EIGHT BERTH IN ASIAN MEN’S U18 CHAMPIONSHIP WITH CONVINCING VICTORY AGAINST INDIA 

Manama, Bahrain, July 30, 2024 – Korea punched their tickets to the Top Eight round following their straight-set win against India in their last pool round-robin preliminary match in the 15th Asian Men’s U18 Volleyball Championship at Isa Sport City Hall C here on Tuesday.

The Koreans clinched their place with a convincing 3-0 (25-18, 25-23, 25-17) victory against India in Pool D fixture for their second win in three matches. They joined Pakistan from their group, through to the action-packed Top 8 round.

 

Seungil Lee scored a match-high 21 points for Korea, while Sehoon Im contributed 13 as their attacks were too much for India to handle on the night. Harnoor Singh was India’s leading scorer in the loss with 19 points.

South Korean Ambassador His Excellency Dr Heon Sang Koo was in attendance during the match, along with staff members from the South Korean Embassy. They met the team after the game.
