AUSTRALIA’S NPP ATHLETES SELECTED FOR THAILAND DEVELOPMENT TOUR

Thirty-six players from the Australia National Performance Program have been selected to take part in a Development Tour to Thailand next month.

The players will form two men’s and one women’s teams which will take part in training before the 2025 Thailand Junior Volleyball Championships.

The Thailand Development Tour is a wonderful opportunity for squad members to train, acclimatise, and play matches against several strong opponents.

It is a tour which has been earmarked by the NPP as critical in the development, preparation, and experience of players which will take part in future international tournament campaigns.

“This tour to Thailand provides an excellent opportunity for our National Performance Program squad athletes to gain valuable international experience,” said Paul Smith, Volleyball Australia’s Deputy National Performance Director.

“The Thailand Junior Volleyball Championships have consistently delivered high-quality competitions that help develop both our athletes and coaches, making it an important part of our performance pathway.”

The coaching staff on the tour will see Victoria’s Jack Carey and Matt Lanham guiding the women’s squad while Queensland’s Eric Smith and Jessica Croucher will coach the men’s sides.
