At the opening ceremony of the 2025 Australian Youth Beach Volleyball Championships this week, Volleyball Australia launched its good behaviour program – WE CARE.
The WE CARE campaign champions positive behaviour on and off the court, encouraging players, coaches, officials and supporters to uphold the values that make our sport great.
Volleyball Australia believes that the game is about more than just skill and competition – it’s about respect, integrity and community.
From respecting referees and supporting teammates to playing with integrity and cheering responsibly, WE CARE is a commitment to fostering a safe, inclusive, and enjoyable environment for everyone involved in volleyball.
The WE CARE campaign is a reminder that good behaviour starts with:
- C – Coaches who lead by example
- A – Athletes who compete with integrity
- R – Referees who ensure fair play
- E – Everyone who supports the game with respect
WE CARE also reminds us there is zero tolerance for bad behaviour.
- C – Coaches lead, not intimidate
- A – Athletes play hard, but fair
- R – Referees are respected, not abused
- E – Everyone supports, not disrupts
Play with integrity, respect the game, and show that WE CARE.
