AL-HILAL CROWNED SAUDI VOLLEYBALL PREMIER LEAGUE CHAMPIONS FOR RECORD 20TH TIME

Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, May 19, 2025 – Al-Hilal were officially crowned champions of the Saudi Volleyball Premier League for a historic 20th time, despite a straight-sets defeat to Al-Ittihad (18–25, 22–25, 21–25) in the final round, held at the Ministry of Sports Hall in Riyadh.

The President of the Saudi Arabian Volleyball Federation, Dr. Khaled Al-Zoghaibi, presented the championship trophy and gold medals to Al-Hilal, which continued their dominant season, having already secured titles in the Federation Cup and the Saudi Games Cup.

Al-Ittihad finished in second place, earning silver medals, while Al-Khaleej secured third after a commanding 3-0 victory over Al-Safa (25–23, 25–16, 25–17), claiming bronze medals and a spot in the upcoming Elite Championship. In another final-round fixture, Al-Ahly defeated Abha 3–1.

The 2024–2025 volleyball season will conclude with the Elite Cup next Friday at Al-Ittihad Club Hall in Jeddah. The tournament will feature the league’s top four teams – Al-Hilal, Al-Ittihad, Al-Khaleej, and Al-Nasr—bringing an exciting and competitive season to a close.
