Jakarta, Indonesia, May 24, 2025 – Indonesia is ready to host the Asian Men’s U16 Championship Qualifier match between Indonesia and Malaysia.
The match is scheduled to take place on Sunday, May 25, at 7:00pm local time (WIB) at the Jenderal Kunarto Volleyball Training Center in Sentul, Bogor.
“We are fully prepared to host this important match and have ensured that all arrangements meet international standards,” said Reginal Nelwan, Head of the Competition and Match Division at the Indonesian Volleyball Association (PP PBVSI) in Sentul on Saturday.
According to Nelwan, the match will be conducted in accordance with FIVB regulations. “The match will be broadcast live on television, and the challenge system will be implemented,” he added.
While the venue’s seating capacity is limited to fewer than 500 spectators, the public is welcome to attend free of charge, with no tickets required.
The Jenderal Kunarto Volleyball Training Center, which also serves as the training base for the Indonesian national team, will host the match.
The match will take place at the Jenderal Kunarto Volleyball Training Center in Sentul, Bogor, which also serves as the training site for the Indonesian national team.
The winning team will secure their place in the 2nd Asian Men’s U16 Volleyball Championship, which is set to be held in Nakhon Pathom, Thailand between July 12 and 19, 2025. The Nakhon Pathom event will serve as the Asian qualification tournament to qualify top three teams for the 2026 FIVB Volleyball Boys’ U17 World Championship. At the inaugural world meet last year in Bulgaria, Italy were crowned the first-eve world champions.
