Doha, Qatar, October 2, 2025 – The Beach Volleyball Coaches Course, organized under the patronage of the Asian Volleyball Confederation (AVC) and West Asia Volleyball Association, kicked off on Thursday morning at the headquarters of the Qatar Volleyball Association (QVA). The course runs until October 6, with the participation of a number of coaches and technical staff from local sports clubs.
The five-day program features theoretical sessions covering key topics such as the role of the coach, player selection, training programs, technical, tactical and physical preparation. In addition, the course includes a practical component, showcasing the latest training methods for teaching skills and tactical aspects through on-court applications.
The practical sessions are being held at the Al Gharafa Beach Volleyball Complex.
The course is conducted by Mr Ahmed Amro Atta, an internationally certified instructor by the FIVB, who emphasized in his opening remarks:
“Our goal through this course is to prepare a new generation of qualified coaches, equipping them with both theoretical knowledge and practical expertise to help develop the game in their countries and raise the level of continental and global competition.”
On his part, QVA Board Member and Chairman of the Beach Volleyball Committee, Mr Mohammed Salem Al-Kuwari, expressed his delight with the launch of the course, stating:
“At QVA, we are committed to organizing such specialized courses that contribute to building a strong base of qualified coaches, which in turn supports the progress of our national teams and enhances Qatar’s standing on the Asian and global beach volleyball stage.”
