AVC Confirms Qualified Teams for 2026 AVC Volleyball Continental Championships

The Asian Volleyball Confederation (AVC) has officially confirmed the qualified teams for the AVC Volleyball Continental Championships 2026 for both women and men, with the tournaments set to play a decisive role in the international qualification pathway.

The AVC Volleyball Continental Championships 2026 (Women’s) will be held in Tianjin, China, from August 21–30, 2026, with China competing as host nation. Joining the hosts are Australia, Hong Kong, China, Indonesia, Iran, Japan, Kazakhstan, Korea, Lebanon, Chinese Taipei, Thailand, and Vietnam, completing a highly competitive field drawn from across the continent.

The AVC Volleyball Continental Championships 2026 (Men’s) will take place in Fukuoka, Japan, from September 4–13, 2026, with Japan serving as host. The men’s tournament will feature Australia, Bahrain, China, India, Iran, Korea, New Zealand, Oman, Qatar, Chinese Taipei, and Thailand, alongside the host nation.

Both championships carry major international implications. Only the champion of each tournament will qualify directly for the Los Angeles 2028 Olympic Games, while the top three finishers will secure qualification for the 2027 FIVB World Championship, raising the stakes for all participating teams.

The AVC Volleyball Continental Championships are among the confederation’s flagship events, bringing together Asia’s top national teams and providing a critical platform for high-level competition, ranking points, and global qualification opportunities.

Further details regarding competition format, draw ceremonies, and match schedules will be announced by the AVC in due course.
