Goyang, Korea — The Asian Volleyball Confederation (AVC) conducted its official inspection visit in Goyang, Korea, as preparations continue for the AVC Women’s Champions League 2026, scheduled to take place from 26 to 30 April 2026.
The AVC delegation, led by AVC President Mr. Ramon Suzara, held coordination meetings with the Korea Volleyball Association (KVA) and the Local Organizing Committee (LOC) to review key operational areas. Discussions covered competition venue readiness, technical requirements, team services, accommodation, transportation, broadcast operations, media arrangements, and overall event logistics to ensure full compliance with AVC regulations and international standards.
As part of the visit, the delegation also met with the Goyang Organizing Committee, headed by Mr. Hwang Suk-Hee, Co-Chairman of the Organizing Committee. The meeting underscored the city’s strong commitment to hosting Asia’s premier women’s club competition. Mr. Hwang reaffirmed Goyang’s full support in delivering a well-organized and high-quality championship.
“The AVC Women’s Champions League represents the highest level of women’s club volleyball in Asia,” said AVC President Ramon Suzara. “We are pleased with the progress of preparations in Goyang and the strong cooperation from the Korea Volleyball Association and local organizers. Our shared objective is to deliver a world-class championship that reflects the continued growth and professionalism of women’s volleyball across the continent.”
The inspection confirmed positive progress across all operational sectors, reflecting close coordination between the AVC, KVA, and local authorities. With just over two months remaining before the event, preparations are advancing according to schedule to ensure the championship meets the highest professional standards.
The AVC Women’s Champions League 2026 will bring together Asia’s leading women’s club teams for five days of elite competition, further promoting the development and visibility of club volleyball throughout the region.
