BANGKOK, Thailand — Asia’s top women’s volleyball clubs will clash in Bangkok from April 26 to 30 for continental supremacy and a chance to represent the region at the FIVB Volleyball Club World Championship later this year.
The AVC Women’s Champions League 2026, set at The Mall Bang Kapi Convention Hall, will feature eight of the continent’s leading clubs in a high-stakes competition where the top two teams will qualify for the global tournament.
The teams are divided into two pools for the preliminary round. Pool A includes host team Supreme TIP Chonburi – E.Tech, Nakhonratchasima 3M Flims VC, Mehregan Noor Club, and Bandung BJB Tandamata. Pool B features NEC Red Rockets Kawasaki, Beijing Arctic Ocean, Zhetysu, and Harudotchonburi RMUTT VC.
With qualification to the world stage on the line, the tournament is expected to deliver a high level of competition across five days of matches, as clubs from across Asia compete for a place in the knockout rounds and the continental title.
Kazakhstan’s Zhetysu VC enter the tournament as the defending champions, having been crowned the inaugural winners of the competition after defeating Vietnam’s VTV Binh Dien Long An, 3-1, in last year’s final.
“This competition reflects the continued growth of women’s club volleyball in Asia and provides a clear pathway for our top teams to compete on the global stage,” said Ramon Suzara. “With the best clubs from across the continent coming together in Bangkok, we expect a highly competitive tournament that showcases the strength and depth of Asian volleyball.”
Preliminary round matches will open on April 26, with Beijing Arctic Ocean taking on Zhetysu in Pool B at 3:00 p.m., followed by Nakhonratchasima 3M Flims VC facing Mehregan Noor Club in Pool A at 7:00 p.m.
Action continues on April 27, as NEC Red Rockets Kawasaki meet Harudotchonburi RMUTT VC in Pool B at 3:00 p.m., before host side Supreme TIP Chonburi – E.Tech plays Bandung BJB Tandamata in Pool A at 7:00 p.m.
The AVC Women’s Champions League serves as a key platform for elite women’s club volleyball in Asia, offering athletes the opportunity to compete at the highest level and strengthen the region’s presence in global competitions.
Matches will be played daily, culminating in the final where the two finalists will secure qualification to the world championship and the eventual winner will be crowned continental champion.
