Jakarta Bhayangkara Presisi Crowned AVC Men’s Champions League 2026 Champions

PONTIANAK, Indonesia — Jakarta Bhayangkara Presisi of Indonesia captured the AVC Men’s Champions League 2026 title after defeating Iran’s Foolad Sirjan Iranian in four sets, 25-20, 24-26, 25-23, 25-23, in the championship match on Sunday at the Terpadu Gymnasium in Pontianak.

Backed by strong home support in front of more than 5,000 spectators, Bhayangkara delivered a composed performance to secure the continental crown and earn qualification to the FIVB Volleyball Club World Championship alongside runner-up Foolad Sirjan Iranian.

Opposite hitter Keita Noumory led Bhayangkara with a match-high 38 points built on 31 attacks, six service aces, and one block, while Tine Urnaut Možič added 16 points and Farhan contributed 11.

Foolad Sirjan Iranian pushed the hosts throughout the match, taking the second set before Bhayangkara regained control in the closing stages of the third and fourth sets. Poriya Firouzjah scored 13 points for the Iranian side, while Toukhteh and Aleksandar Nikolov added 13 and 12 points, respectively.

AVC President Ramon Suzara praised the level of competition shown throughout the tournament and the atmosphere created by the fans in Pontianak.

“The AVC Men’s Champions League 2026 showcased the very best of Asian club volleyball. The quality of play, the passion from the fans, and the performances from all participating teams reflect the continued rise of volleyball across Asia,” Suzara said.

“With Jakarta Bhayangkara Presisi and Foolad Sirjan Iranian qualifying for the FIVB Volleyball Club World Championship, Asia will once again be strongly represented on the global stage,” he added.

Earlier in the day, Japan’s JTEKT Stings Aichi claimed the bronze medal after sweeping Korea’s Hyundai Capital Skywalkers 25-19, 25-19, 25-21 in the third-place match.

French opposite Stephen Boyer led JTEKT with 24 points, while Ricardo Lucarelli added 11 as the Japanese club closed its campaign with a dominant straight-sets victory.

Following the final, tournament individual awards were also presented. Keita Noumory of Jakarta Bhayangkara Presisi was named Most Valuable Player and Best Opposite, while teammates Simon Aties Robertlandy and Gumilar Ahmad earned the Best Middle Blocker awards.

Foolad Sirjan Iranian’s Ali Ramezani was named Best Setter, while teammates Aleksandar Nikolov and Hossein Khanzadeh Firouzjah Poriya received the Best Outside Hitter honors.

JTEKT Stings Aichi libero Takahashi Kazuyuki was awarded Best Libero.
