The Qatari Police volleyball team will participate in the 38th GCC Volleyball Club Championship for Men at Isa bin Rashid Volleyball Arena at Sheikh Isa Sports City in Riffa, Bahrain from March 5 to 13, 2022.
Four teams comprising Police SC, the defending and Qatar’s league champions, Al Kamil Wal Wafi of Oman, Al Qadisiyah of Kuwait and Al Ahli of Bahrain confirmed their participation after the withdrawal of Al Hilal of Saudi Arabia and the Al Nasr of the UAE.
The 13-player delegation of the Police team left on Friday for Bahrain. The team players consist of Borislav Georgiev, Salami Moses, John Shigbo, Renan Ribeiro, Muhammad Khozbat, Ahmed Al Kaabi, Naji Mahmoud, Nader Abu Bakr, Oliver Fino, Muhammad Ismail, Mahmoud Essam, Othman Abdulwahid and Wollner Enrique aside from the technical and administrative staff of the team.
The competition is being held in the league system. The draw has been held on Saturday during the technical meeting where all organizational issues such as the lists of clubs, their professionals and crews have been approved.
