Bangkok, Thailand, March 21, 2022 – In-form Al-Shabab Club stamped their authority on the Bahrain Volleyball Second Division Cup following their hard-fought 3-2 victory against Al-Tadhamon Club in the final showdown at Sheikh Isa Bin Rashid Sports Hall on Sunday evening.
The final clash proved a hard-fought thriller as both sides poured everything to win this crucial encounter. Al-Shabab got the showdown off to a flying start with an impressive 25-20 win in the opening set, but Al-Tadhamon made amends for the loss as they attacked powerfully for the 25-23 win in the hotly-contested second set.
The on-going clash turned a see-saw battle as Al-Shabab proved their class again to take the third set 25-17 before going down in the similar fashion 18-25 in the fourth set, forcing the tie-breaker to determine the eventual winners.
The intense fight continued in the fifth set as both sides came up with their great form. Despite battling hard, Al-Tadhamon found Al-Shabab uncatchable on home stretch. Al-Shabab went through their motion on a three-point advantage to win the decider 15-12, match and the title.
At the end of the thrilling final match, His Excellency Sheikh Ali bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Khalifa, President of the Bahrain Volleyball Association, presented Al-Shabab with the prestigious Cup plus gold medals and runners-up Al-Tadhamon with silver medals .
