Volleyball Australia is pleased to confirm the Australian Volleyball League season for 2022.
The Australian Volleyball League (AVL) is the highest level of indoor volleyball in Australia, with seven states and territories set to battle it out on court for the honour of being crowned Australian Volleyball League Champions for Season 2022.
After the unfortunate cancellation of the past two seasons, teams from the ACT, New South Wales, Queensland, South Australia, Tasmania, Victoria and Western Australia will take to the court through seven regular season rounds, culminating in a two-day finals series slated to be held on the Gold Coast 3-4 December 2022.
The action will take place in thirteen different venues across Australia, with each Club to host three home games.
Volleyball Australia CEO Andrew Dee said he is excited for the return of Australia’s premier domestic volleyball competition.
“It is with great delight that we confirm the draw for the 2022 Australian Volleyball League season,” Dee said.
“After two years of cancellations and ongoing challenges, Volleyball Australia in conjunction with our AVL affiliates have been working hard to establish a full home and away fixture for 2022.
“With 42 games set to be played across 13 venues and seven states it’s definitely going to be an action packed season, and one that we are very much looking forward to,” he said.
