Bangkok, Thailand, August 24, 2022 – To sharpen their skills in an atmosphere of competition under ideal conditions, Malaysia men’s and women’s beach volleyball teams have been training intensively at the Beach Volleyball Training Centre at Ban Nong Ya Ma Community School in Roi Et, a central northeastern province in Thailand.
Malaysia arrived in town and started their training camp from August 22 until September 1, 2022. They received warm welcome from Mr Somporn Chaibangyang, President of Thailand Volleyball Association, and Roi Et Municipality Mayor Mr Banjong Kositjiranan, who visited them during their training stint on August 23.
Roi Et has already become one of the beach volleyball hubs in Thailand and Asia alike. The province has played a key role in hosting several major beach volleyball tournaments. The 4th Asian U19 Beach Volleyball Championships were held there earlier this June.
The Beach Volleyball Training Centre at Ban Nong Ya Ma Community School in Roi Et will become the battle ground for two more major events later this year – the AVC Beach Tour Open (Men and Women) from September 10 to 12 and the 2022 Asian Senior Beach Volleyball Championship (Women) from September 15 to 17.
