Manama, Bahrain, April 22, 2025 – Al-Muharraq Club underlined their supremacy over the Isa bin Rashid Volleyball League 2024/25 season for the 16th time in history following their dramatic 3-1 victory against achrivals Al-Ahli in the third final match of the best-of-three championship series,thus completing a 2-1 victory on aggregate on Monday.
The much-anticipated match ended 25-22, 25-19, 24-26, 25-23 in favor of Al-Muharraq in front of a mass audience at the packed Isa bin Rashid Arena with an enthusiastic crowd atmosphere, reflecting the importance of the match and the history of the two distinguished clubs.
At the end of the match, Mr Fares Mustafa Al-Kooheji, Secretary General of the Bahrain Olympic Committee, and Mohammed Al-Thawadi, Vice President of the Bahrain Volleyball Association, crowned the Al-Muharraq team with the league shield and gold medals and the Al-Ahli players received second-place silver medals. Official representatives of the association and the two clubs actively attended in the awards presentation. It is worth noting that the 2019/20 was the last season in which Al-Muharraq won the championship.
