AL-RAYYAN CROWNED 2024-2025 QATAR WOMEN’S VOLLEYBALL LEAGUE CHAMPIONS

Doha, Qatar, May 28, 2025 – Al-Rayyan clinched the title of the 2024–2025 Qatar Women’s Volleyball League after securing a commanding 3–1 victory over Al-Arabi in the final round of the competition, held at the Qatar Volleyball Association Hall.

The match was marked by high-level performances and fierce competitiveness, reflecting the elevated standard and intensity that characterized the league throughout the season.

With this decisive win, Al-Rayyan completed an unbeaten season, topping the standings with 29 points and claiming the gold medals along with a QAR 35,000 prize. Al-Arabi finished second with 24 points, receiving the silver medals and a QAR 25,000 reward, while Qatar SC secured third place with 17 points, earning the bronze medals and a QAR 15,000 prize.

The official awards ceremony was attended by prominent figures including Mr Ali Ghanem Al-Kuwari, President of the Qatar Volleyball Association; Ms Amina Barakat Al-Kuwari, Board Member and Chair of the Women’s Sports Committee; Mr Hamad Al-Shaiba, Head of Sports Programs at Qatar Foundation; and Ms Hessa Lahdan Al-Muhannadi, Physical Education Coordinator at Al-Khor Model School for Boys.

 

This title win underscores the continued progress of women’s volleyball in Qatar and highlights the vital role that clubs and national talents play in advancing women’s sports across the country.

Elsewhere, Qatar SC swept Al-Khor 3–0, while Al-Ahli defeated Qatar Foundation with the same scoreline, adding to the excitement of the season’s conclusion.
