Volleyball Australia is pleased to announce a 14-player squad who will head to Japan for a Development Tour from 30 March to 10 April.
The squad will be led by Australia’s Women’s U18 Head Coach Kell Lean, who as a former Volleyroos captain knows exactly what it takes for young players to push their careers forward.
Anni Tang is one player certain to add experience to the squad having last year represented Australia at the 15th Asian Women’s U18 Volleyball Championship in Thailand.
“Having the chance to compete internationally can be a key moment in the development of young players, and the athletes for this Tour have earned themselves a fantastic opportunity,” said Paul Smith, Volleyball Australia National Performance Pathways Manager.
“It is important that players coming through the pathway have the opportunity to play abroad even in years when the Asian or World Championships are not being held in their age bracket and this Tour will be an exciting one for all involved.”
