Bangkok, Thailand, July 7, 2025 – As the global volleyball community celebrates the inaugural World Volleyball Day today, AVC President Mr Ramon Suzara has proudly joined the worldwide movement, sharing his passion for the sport and highlighting the joy it brings to the Asian volleyball family.
To mark this historic occasion, Mr Suzara released a short video clip showcasing one of his most cherished volleyball moments, inspiring fans and federations across Asia to unite in celebration.
“As AVC President, we’d like to celebrate a happy World Volleyball Day around Asia and around the world. Together as One!,” he stated in the video message.
With AVC enthusiastically joining the global celebration, July 7, 2025 marks the inaugural World Volleyball Day, commemorating the first public demonstration of the sport by William G. Morgan in 1895. From this year onward, the date will be observed annually to honour volleyball’s rich history and growing global impact.
Renowned for its fast-paced action and unique ability to promote teamwork and unity, volleyball now has a dedicated day to celebrate its inclusive and unifying spirit. World Volleyball Day stands as a powerful testament that volleyball is truly a sport for everyone, everywhere.
