Bangkok, Thailand, December 21, 2020 – As the New Year 2021 is approaching in less than two weeks, AVC President Mrs Rita Subowo has a great time to offer her best wishes to the global volleyball family.
“My beloved FIVB family, friends and business relatives, Warm Greetings from the AVC. On behalf of the Asian Volleyball Confederation, I wish you a Very Merry Christmas and a wonderful New Year. 2020 was a rough year for us, but I am sure that 2021 will be the year where we show the world, the AVC and all FIVB family has survived the pandemic, and will be stronger than ever!,” she was quoted as saying.
The AVC President’s best wishes came at the right time since this is a hopeful time, as we celebrate the end of one year and the beginning of another. But in reality, that we are living through difficult times in 2020 is clear for all to see. We must also look back on this year with the knowledge that brighter days await all of us – that although our challenges are great, each of us has the courage and determination to rise up and meet them.
For AVC, this has certainly been a challenging year for the sports industry and volleyball makes no difference. We’ve all faced major difficulties but supporting you, AVC Affiliated National Federations, athletes and fans, has remained our top priority.
AVC is still looking forward to continuing to work closely together with FIVB and the entire volleyball family in 2021 and beyond.
On this auspicious opportunity, let this approaching year fetch best delight in your life and let all unconvinced dreams you had in the past get fulfilled. May God retain smiles on your face, glow on your cheeks and friendly, great words on your lips. Wishing you all the best in 2021.
