AVC PRESIDENT SUZARA VISITS HEADQUARTERS TO DISCUSS RELEVANT UPDATES WITH ALL AVC STAFF

Bangkok, Thailand, February 12, 2025 – AVC President Ramon Suzara visited Headquarters on Wednesday and chaired a two-hour, productive meeting with all staff working at the continent’s volleyball-governing body to hear relevant activities and set up future management plans.

Upon his arrival, the AVC President gave his warm greetings to all which made the attendants feel supported and motivated. “Good morning, how are you?,” he greeted with everyone he met at the Headquarters and smiled.

During the meeting, the office relocation was the first topic raised for discussion. As AVC has already made decision to move its Headquarters to a new location, generously-sized, well-designed and nicely-presented spaces for working rooms such as President’s Office, Finance Office, equipment room, working rooms, meeting rooms, reception room and storage had been widely discussed among AVC staff.

The AVC Headquarters is currently situated on the 12th floor of the Main Building, Sports Authority of Thailand on Ramkhamhaeng Road, but in the not-too-distant future will be moved to a new office on Krungthep Kreetha Road, which will ensure more convenience and flexibility. From the so-called “Future House,” it is just less than 30-minute drive to Suvannabhumi Airport.

With the office relocation due to take place soon, it is expected that all AVC staff can work in a more desirable workplace environment, allowing the future expansion of the technical staff and enhancing future opportunities in sponsorships as part of an effective development strategy.

To make things clear that it will be more professional way to run AVC, the new logo of AVC competitions as well as AVC Logo were also taken into consideration in the Wednesday’s meeting. However, it has already been decided that all 2025 AVC competitions will come up with new competition logos.

In addition, the meeting also discussed the AVC Competition Calendar. All 2025 AVC competitions, both indoor and beach volleyball, have already been confirmed with host countries. AVC is due to announce its official competition calendar soon when things fall into place.

As FIVB and AVC competitions are two uniquely separate events, AVC President Suzara suggested that on the AVC Official Website www.asianvolleyball.net, AVC competitions be separated from the FIVB events despite the fact that some FIVB events will be held in Asia.

Shortly after the meeting, AVC President Suzara, himself FIVB Executive Vice President and President of Philippine National Volleyball Federation (PNVF), and all AVC staff showed their index fingers, symbolizing the “Together As One” unity while taking group photo.
