Bangkok, Thailand — Asian Volleyball Confederation (AVC) President Ramon Suzara welcomed Mr. Muhammad Fariq Abdul Halim, Deputy President of the International Sepaktakraw Federation (ISTAF), for a strategic meeting at the AVC House in Bangkok, Thailand, to exchange ideas on the evolving landscape of international sports and event development.
The meeting provided an opportunity for both leaders to discuss shared priorities in strengthening the global profile of their respective sports and enhancing the overall value of sporting events in Asia and beyond. Discussions focused on the growing importance of innovation, modern commercial structures, and the need to adapt sports competitions to meet the expectations of today’s global audiences.
Among the topics explored were the transformation of traditional competitions into sustainable and commercially viable sporting properties, the role of high-quality television production and digital broadcasting platforms, and the importance of creating engaging experiences that attract younger fans, broadcasters, and long-term partners.
