Bahrain Volleyball Association held the second Junior Volleyball Festival at Al-Shabab Club on Saturday, February 17, with a total of 190 young players from various clubs taking part on the occasion of the anniversary of the National Action Charter.
BVA Board of Directors Members, Abdul Reda Ashoori, Habib Mohammed, Rashid Jaber were guests of honour at the event, which was organised by the BVA’s Competitions Committee.
The National Action Charter is a national document which represents Bahraini citizens, their aspirations, their community, its requirements, and its development. Each year, the Kingdom of Bahrain celebrates the National Action Charter on February 14.
Abdul Reda Ashoori, head of the Competitions Committee, said that the activity was a great success in light of the wide participation of young players representing various clubs. At the end of the festival, honorary medals were distributed to all the participating players.
Ashoori added that the Bahrain Volleyball Association, under the guidance of His Excellency Sheikh Ali bin Mohammed Al Khalifa, Chairman of the Board of Directors, is very keen to hold youth festivals periodically every season.
He expressed sincere thanks to the BVA President His Excellency Sheikh Ali bin Mohammed Al Khalifa for his support for staging the festival, appreciating the follow-up and interest of Secretary General Firas Al-Halwachi, which contributed to the success of this festival and the rest of the festivals. He also thanked the rest of the working committees led by the Referees Committee, chaired by Rashid Jaber, for their efforts in managing matches and Al-Shabab Club for hosting the festival and their hospitality .
