Hong Kong, China opposite WM TO led the charge for her team, charting a total of 11 points.

Hong Kong, China seemed patient in enduring heavy hits from their opponent. They gallantly tried to keep the ball in reception and convert with decent passes. They vastly improved by the second set, enabling their tall roster to line up their blocks well. They also managed to outlast a number of rallies, but their opponents endured and succeeded in much more.
The Chinese Taipei side showed a wide array of options, that they managed and decided upon, with much success, in key transition moments. While they still suffered from errors, they showed more cohesion that showed promise of a well-established system. Chief setter Chen Jia-Man put a great deal of trust in her roster of hitters, as each one was ready when called upon with the play. And even when coach Chen Yu-An played his substitutes, the result was good enough for a straight-sets win.
“With our first match in the competition, I really wanted for all of my players to get into the court to play,” Chen Yu-An said.
Chinese Taipei captain Chen Tzu-Ya, who scored nine (9) points in the match, said “We have a good chance of performing well in this competition, and we will try our best each time with each team.”
