Manama, Bahrain, October 23, 2024 – His Excellency Major General Sheikh Ali bin Mohammed Al Khalifa, President of the Bahrain Volleyball Association, presided over the opening ceremony of the FIVB Coaches Course Level 2 at the FIVB Development Center in Bahrain on Sunday.
Under organisation and supervision of Bahrain Volleyball Association (BVA), the course, which started from October 20 and will be concluded on Thursday, October 24, is conducted theoretically and practically by International Lecturer Mohammed Jalal.
Candidates from Tunisia, Syria, Qatar, Sudan, Saudi Arabia, Kuwait and five from schools in Bahrain including two trainers joined the five-day course, which has introduced many basic and core topics in volleyball, coaching skills, physical conditioning, and training information updates.
Sheikh Ali bin Mohammed Al Khalifa, who recently won the presidency of the association by acclamation, as no other candidates ran for the position, welcomed all Bahraini and overseas participants.
In his welcome speech, Sheikh Ali bin Mohammed Al Khalifa said this course is an opportunity to increase knowledge in the field of training from all available sources and benefit from experience, wishing Mohammed Jalal, proud to be the International Lecturer from Ajman Bahrain, a success in his membership in the training committee of the Asian Union. The BVA President also wished everyone a great success and a nice stay in Bahrain.
Mohammed Jalal thanked the Bahrain Football Association, which has the support and assistance he has received to reach membership.
The Asian Teachers Committee noted that the session is an opportunity to raise their scientific capabilities and technical field of training as well as an opportunity to share experiences. They thanked the Deputy Chairman of the BVA’s Competence Council Mr Mohammeda Al Thawadi, Chairman of the Center
as well as the General Coordinator of the session, international and high governance.
