Martyn Phillips, Vice Chairman of the Board of Volleyball World, to step in as Interim CEO
The FIVB extends its heartfelt thanks to Finn Taylor as he prepares to step down from his role as Chief Executive Officer of Volleyball World on 25 April 2025.
Taylor has played a key role in the development of Volleyball World since its launch in 2021. From expanding volleyball’s commercial footprint and elevating its global events, to deepening fan engagement and developing the industry-leading OTT platform VBTV, his contributions have elevated the visibility and success of the sport worldwide.
“On behalf of the Global Volleyball Movement, I would like to thank Finn for his outstanding dedication and hard work for Volleyball World,” said FIVB President Fabio Azevedo. “Throughout his tenure, he has helped drive an exciting new era for our sport across events, fan engagement and commercial growth. He has also laid strong foundations for Volleyball World to continue its journey. Finn will always be part of the Global Volleyball Movement, and we wish him every success in his next chapter.”
Finn Taylor commented: “This decision comes with a mix of emotions, but I firmly believe that we have built something extraordinary – something far beyond what was initially envisioned. Having successfully delivered on my mandate, I feel the time is right to pass the baton to a new leader who will continue to drive the vision forward and take Volleyball World to even greater heights.”
Martyn Phillips, Vice Chairman of the Board of Volleyball World, will assume the role of Interim CEO while the search for a permanent CEO is conducted.
