The course is designed to educate stakeholders on ensuring safe sporting environments for all
The FIVB has launched its new, mandatory Safeguarding E-Learning Course to provide athletes, officials and everyone participating in FIVB competitions with comprehensive knowledge on their right to safe sporting environments, free from harassment and abuse.
Through this education tool, the FIVB aims to enhance its protection against harassment and abuse as part of its commitment to safe sport for all. The FIVB Safeguarding Policy, now a part of the 2023 FIVB Disciplinary Regulations, clearly states that any incident of harassment or abuse could result in disciplinary actions.
The FIVB Safeguarding E-learning course is mandatory for everyone involved in FIVB competitions and is hosted on the FIVB Learning Management System (LMS). The LMS is a comprehensive platform that brings together all online educational courses offered by the FIVB to its stakeholders.
Other courses available on the platform include the Course on Prevention of Competition Manipulation, the Play Clean programme, the Coaches Resource Centre for volleyball and beach volleyball, and the Referees Resource Centre for volleyball and beach volleyball.
