FIVB LEVEL-2 COACHES COURSE UNDERWAY AT FIVB DEVELOPMENT CENTER IN THAILAND

Bangkok, Thailand, May 13, 2025 – The FIVB Level-2 Coaches Course officially began this week at the FIVB Development Center in Thailand, with 34 participants from 15 countries including 23 men joining the five-day program led by FIVB Instructor Mr Bojan Mirkovic of Croatia. The course runs from May 12 to 16 and includes both theoretical and practical sessions.

Organized to enhance coaching competence, the course provides a platform for knowledge exchange and international collaboration. It aims to support National Federations in establishing and strengthening their coaching development programs while promoting a unified coaching framework.

The opening ceremony took place on Monday, May 12, at the FIVB Development Center in Bangkok. Presiding over the event were Mr Somporn Chaibangyang, President of the Thailand Volleyball Association (TVA), and Mr Shanrit Wongprasert, Honorary Life Vice President of the Asian Volleyball Confederation and Honorary Life Secretary General of the TVA.

 

Also present were TVA Secretary General Mr Nattapong Kesapan, Mr Issara Riddhisinha, General Manager of the FIVB Development Center in Thailand, Instructor Mr. Bojan Mirkovic, and course participants from Bangladesh, Croatia, Finland, India, Japan, Macao China, Maldives, Malaysia, Nepal, Russia, Singapore, Turkey, the Philippines, the United Arab Emirates, and host country Thailand.

In his welcome address, Mr Somporn extended his gratitude to the guests and attendees, highlighting the significance of the course for the global volleyball community.

“On behalf of the Thailand Volleyball Association, I would like to express my sincere appreciation to our distinguished guests and all participants for attending the FIVB Coaches Course Level 2. This course, conducted by Mr Bojan Mirkovic, who brings extensive experience at both continental and international levels, offers an invaluable opportunity for knowledge-sharing and professional growth,” he stated.

“I hope all participants make the most of this experience, not only by enhancing your technical knowledge but also by fostering connections that will benefit volleyball development in your home countries. I wish you a productive and enjoyable stay in Bangkok and a successful outcome from this course. It is my honor to officially declare the FIVB Coaches Course Level 2 open.”

The course reflects the FIVB’s commitment to fostering global coaching standards and providing continuous development opportunities for volleyball professionals worldwide.
