Malé, Maldives — Day 6 of the CAVA Women’s League 2025 delivered decisive semifinal action at the Social Center Indoor Hall, as Foolad Mobarakeh Sepahan (Iran) and Turan VC (Kazakhstan) secured straight-sets victories to book their places in the Gold Medal Match.

With the tournament nearing its conclusion, the semifinals drew strong attendance and showcased contrasting styles, clear tactical execution, and consistent performances from the two finalists, both of whom remain unbeaten.

Foolad Mobarakeh Sepahan Cruise Past Hirdaramani SC

In the first semifinal, played at 16:15 local time, Foolad Mobarakeh Sepahan continued their dominant run with a 3–0 win (25–12, 25–9, 25–16) over Hirdaramani Sports Club (Sri Lanka).

The Iranian side took control from the outset, applying pressure through aggressive serving and organized blocking to limit Hirdaramani SC’s attacking options. After closing the opening set comfortably, Foolad extended their advantage in a one-sided second set before maintaining control to finish the match in straight sets.

M. A. Abdolhamidi led Foolad’s attack, with strong support at the net from Zahra Rezanezhad. For Hirdaramani SC, Kavindi Madushani and Dinithi Ekanayake continued to compete despite the sustained pressure.

Turan VC Defeat Nepal Police Club

The second semifinal, contested at 20:30 local time, saw Turan VC defeat Nepal Police Club 3–0 (25–14, 25–13, 25–11) to confirm their place in the final.

Turan VC established early momentum through powerful wing attacks and consistent serving, taking the opening set with authority. Nepal Police Club faced a setback in the second set when key player Bhandari Usha was forced to leave the match due to injury. Turan capitalized on the situation, extending their lead and maintaining control through the remainder of the match.

Aruzhan Kydyrbayeva once again stood out for Turan VC, anchoring a balanced team performance that combined effective blocking and disciplined defense. Nepal Police Club continued to compete but struggled to regain rhythm following the injury setback.

Medal Matches Set

With the semifinals complete, Foolad Mobarakeh Sepahan and Turan VC advance to the Gold Medal Match, setting up a final between two teams that have shown consistency and control throughout the competition.
