IRAN CROWNED CHAMPIONS AT CAVA MEN’S NATIONS LEAGUE 2025 IN FERGANA

Fergana, Uzbekistan, June 4, 2025 – The curtains fell on the CAVA Men’s Volleyball Nations League 2025 with an exhilarating finale at a packed arena in Fergana, where Iran emerged as champions, defeating India in straight sets 25-17, 25-20, 25-19 in front of a roaring crowd of over 4,000 spectators.

Iran’s journey to the title was nothing short of dominant. Maintaining an undefeated run throughout the tournament, the Iranian squad showcased technical superiority, tactical discipline, and impressive teamwork. 

Their performance in the final underlined their continental stature, as they dismantled an Indian side that had also impressed en route to the gold medal match.

Champions: IRAN

Led by their inspirational captain and tournament MVP Ali Hajipour MoghadDam FaroUji (No. 17), Iran demonstrated incredible depth and control. Hajipour’s powerful spikes and consistent presence at the net were instrumental throughout the league. Setter Ali Ramezani (No. 13) orchestrated the offense with finesse, earning the Best Setter award. Libero Mehran Tavanay Biji (No. 23) anchored the defense, proving crucial in transition play and earning the Best Libero title.

Siver: INDIA

India battled valiantly throughout the tournament and earned their place in the final with spirited performances, including a thrilling five-set victory over Kazakhstan in the semifinals. Chirag (No. 9), a dynamic and explosive presence on the outside, claimed one of the Best Outside Hitter awards. John Joseph Eanthungal Joseph (No. 20) added to India’s individual accolades with the Best Middle Blocker recognition. 

Despite falling short in the final, India left with their heads held high and a silver medal to show for their remarkable campaign.

Bronze: PAKISTAN

Pakistan secured the bronze medal after a strong 3-1 victory over Kazakhstan (25-19, 23-25, 25-16, 25-22). The squad, known for their aggressive play and mental resilience, rebounded from earlier losses to end the competition on a high note. Abdul Zaheer (No. 14) stood out at the net, earning the Best Middle Blocker award. Pakistan’s overall tactical growth and high-pressure execution earned them well-deserved recognition and a podium finish.
