AMMAN, Jordan — The Asian Volleyball Confederation (AVC) President Ramon “Tats” Suzara and Secretary General Hugh Graham visited Jordan’s Olympic Preparation Center on Thursday, welcomed by Her Royal Highness Princess Ayah Bint Faisal.
HRH Princess Ayah, who is also the president of Jordan Volleyball Federation, highlighted the kingdom’s commitment to nurturing athletic talent.
She showcased the center’s modern facilities, including training courts, fitness areas, accommodation, and support services for athletes.
HRH Princess Ayah emphasized Jordan’s strong commitment to sports through the facility despite operating with a limited budget.
The center plays a key role in preparing Jordanian athletes for regional and international competitions, including Olympic qualifiers, while also serving as a model for effective sports infrastructure in the region.
Jordan is currently hosting 13 teams in the 2nd AVC Asian Women’s U16 Volleyball Championship, holding the matches in two venues at Prince Hamzah Sports Hall and Princess Sumaya Hall.
Athletes from different countries enjoy their stay in Amman as they also got a chance to take a short tour last Tuesday.
