FIVB COACHES COURSE LEVEL 2 UNDERWAY IN DUBAI

Dubai, UAE, September 3, 2024 – The United Arab Emirates Volleyball Association seeks to develop volleyball coaches and open the way to develop coaches abilities and knowledge in all ways. Taking advantage of the ability to hold courses through FIVB Coaches Program which helps upgrade their level and update their knowledge in coaching field.

The course, being held from September 2 to 6, is led by Course Director Dr Shihab Aldin Ahmed and AVC Coaches Committee Member from Sultanate of Oman who inspires many national coaching programs and supervised a lot of international courses worldwide.

In all, there are 36 participants taking part. They are coaches in clubs , former  national players, Physical Education teachers and coaches from local schools, universities, clubs from many countries featuring the UAE, Oman, Kuwait, India, Turkey, Slovakia, Lebanon, Iran, Tunisia, Algeria and Egypt.

   

In the opening ceremony, UAE  Volleyball Association  Vice President Mr Osama Abdullah Gargash said:  “High appreciation and great thanks went to FIVB President Dr Ary Graca and FIVB Development Department for their trust in conducting Coaches Course Level II in Dubai and welcomed FIVB Course Director Dr Shihab Aldin Ahmed from Oman, who has a great experience in volleyball coaching programs and one of the volleyball expertise in Asian Volleyball Confederations.

“The FIVB Development Department is always supporting all NFs for enhancing coaches knowledge, and we will work with the International Volleyball Federation to achieve coach development in all ways and methods.

We hope that the participants will apply what they have learned on the field, to reflect on the development of volleyball levels,” he said.

Course Director Dr Shihab Ahmed presented great thanks for FIVB  Development Department for this nomination  & UAE  Volleyball Association in conducting Coaches Course, citing that it is his pleasure to support UAE Volleyball Assocation in developing volleyball coaches and exchanging my coaching knowledge with course participants . 

“The FIVB Coaches Course Level 2 is considered one of the strongest programs offered in the world, because it contains useful sciences and knowledge for coaches, and the participants should make the most of this course to develop coaches knowledge and raise the level of their abilities in sports sciences,” Dr Shihab said.

He also briefly explained an overview of this course which will include practical sessions, which introduces many core topics in volleyball, coaching skills, physical conditioning, training theory, Volleyball Periodization, Coaching aspects, modern volleyball teaching methods, volleyball tactical plans and training information updates. Eventually, I wish all the best for the course participants and a lot of success,” Dr Shihab said.
