MATCH SCHEDULE RELEASED FOR 2025 FIVB BEACH VOLLEYBALL WORLD CHAMPIONSHIPS IN ADELAIDE

The official match schedule is out, setting the stage for world-class action from 14–23 November in Adelaide, Australia

The official match schedule for the highly anticipated FIVB Beach Volleyball World Championships, Adelaide 2025 has been released, setting the stage for an unforgettable showcase of world-class action in Adelaide from 14-23 November 2025. Tickets on sale now.

96 teams (48 men’s and 48 women’s pairs) from 40 different nations will battle it out for the title of world champions. The tournament will deliver 10 days of non-stop action at The Drive and Pinky Flat/Tarntanya Wama.

The match schedule was unveiled today by Olympic gold medalist and Beach Volleyball World Championships Adelaide 2025 Ambassador Natalie Cook OLY, who said the event would be a celebration of the world’s best athletes, Aussie culture, and the unbeatable energy of Adelaide as a host for major events.

“Adelaide is ready to shine on the global stage,” Cook said. “From the first serve to championship point, fans will experience world-class competition in a uniquely Australian setting.“The Green and Gold Super Sessions will be an atmosphere like no other, a sea of Aussie pride cheering on our homegrown heroes. Having experienced this 25 years ago, winning gold on Bondi Beach in front of a home crowd, I know first-hand how much this support means to our Aussies”.

The widely anticipated ‘Green & Gold’ super session, on center court on opening night will see back to back to back Aussie teams, and Olympic Champions on display. Clancy/Milutinovic (AUS) v J. Zh. Wang/X. Y. Xia (CHN) will open the session, followed by Paris Olympic Gold Medal Winners Åhman/Hellvig (SWE) v Burnett/Hodges (AUS), then Nicolaidis/Carracher (AUS) v Iliyas/El Gharouti (MAR). Tickets to this session are selling fast.

The opening weekend of competition is set to get fans excited, with some big names on display.

Along with 40 different countries being represented, we will see a record 9 Australian teams compete, Olympic Champion pairings in both men’s and women’s adding Ana Patrícia/Duda (BRA) to the mix, and reigning World Champions in Cheng (USA) and Perusic/Schweiner (CZE).

Paris Olympians Izac Carracher and Mark Nicoladis were alongside dignitaries today to see firsthand who they’ll match up with.

“We’re super excited to be welcoming the world to our hometown in Adelaide in one month’s time,” Carracher said.

“With the match schedule unveiled today, we now know our path to the World Championships trophy but that doesn’t change our approach. We’re taking it day by day, game by game an can’t wait to play in front of a home crowd,” Nicolaidis said.

“We’ve just returned from LA and Brazil, and their fans were so loud– we hope that our Aussie fans will turn out in droves and show the world how passionate they are,” he said.
