Sentul-Bogor, Indonesia, August 23, 2025 – The Indonesian Volleyball Federation (PBVSI), in collaboration with the Fédération Internationale de Volleyball (FIVB), officially opened the FIVB Coaches Course Level 1 at the FIVB Center of Excellence in Sentul-Bogor from August 23 to 27, 2025.
The program brings together 26 participants from 8 countries, consisting of young coaches and aspiring professionals. This course is part of FIVB’s global development initiative aimed at raising the standard of volleyball coaching worldwide, while also strengthening international connections among volleyball practitioners.
PBVSI Vice President Mr Joko Sardono expressed pride in Indonesia’s role as host of this important program. “Through this course, we hope participants will not only gain technical knowledge and coaching skills but also embody the values of sportsmanship and unity to help build a brighter future for volleyball in their respective countries,” he said.
During the course, participants will receive comprehensive training from official FIVB Instructor Mr Johann Huber covering fundamental coaching principles, modern training methodology, athlete physical and mental development, as well as the ethics and responsibilities of a coach.
PBVSI emphasized that this event reflects Indonesia’s strong commitment to supporting the growth of volleyball at both national and international levels. Beyond enhancing the capacity of coaches, the course also strengthens Indonesia’s role in global volleyball development.
The event marks another milestone for Indonesia, as the FIVB Center of Excellence in Sentul, Bogor continues to position itself as one of Asia’s leading hubs for volleyball education and development.
