Bangkok, Thailand, October 27, 2020 – Police on Monday beat Qatar SC 3-0 (25-15, 25-18, 25-21) in the second match of their best-of-three semi-finals to enter the final of Amir Cup Volleyball Tournament, Qatar Volleyball Association reported on volleyball.qa on Tuesday.
Police, which recently captured the Qatar Senior Men’s League title, entered the final with a 2-0 verdict against Qatar. Last Saturday, Police powered past Qatar in straight sets in their first match of the semi-finals and the former repeated the similar feat over the latter following a scintillating 3-0 win in their second meet on Monday. Two wins in a row have carried Police to the final showdown on October 31.
Meanwhile, Al-Arabi avenged the 2-3 loss to Al-Rayyan last Saturday to defeat the strong rivals 3-2 (19-25 25-21 23-25 25-20, 15-11) on Monday to level the series 1-1. The third match of their series will be played at the Qatar Volleyball Association (QVA) Hall on Wednesday. The winning team in the playoff will go up against Police in the final showdown on October 31.
