Mr Ali bin Ghanem Al-Kuwari, President of the Qatar and West Asia Volleyball Associations, presided over a ceremony to honour world ranking leaders Cherif Younousse/Ahmed Tijan on occasion of capturing the recent Volleyball World Beach Pro Tour Rosarito Elite 16 in Mexico.
Also in attendance in the ceremony were QVA Secretary General Mr Youssef Ahmed Kanoo and Members of the Board of Directors Mohammed Salem Al-Kuwari, Ibrahim Mohammed Al-Naama and Saeed Jumah Al-Hitmi
The celebration in honour of the superb duo took place during the awards presentation of the Qatar Volleyball Cup, which was won by Al-Rayyan.
Attending the awards presentation included Mr Ibrahim Abdullah Al-Muqbali, President of the Oman Volleyball Association and Vice-President of the West Asia Volleyball Association, His Excellency Sheikh Saud bin Ali Al-Thani, President of Al-Rayyan Sports Club, and Mr Mohammed Al-Abdullah, Head of the Al-Wakrah Volleyball Club, and a number of admiring fans and volleyball lovers.
