Bangkok, Thailand, February 11, 2023 – Al-Wakra Sports Club organized the second Mini-Volleyball Festival for Kids Under 13 with a 4×4 system at its Club Hall on Saturday morning, with the cooperation and supervision of the Qatar Volleyball Association.
A total of 180 players in this age group from nine clubs participated in this competition comprising Al-Wakra, Al-Gharafa, Al-Rayyan, Al-Sadd, Qatar, Al-Arabi, Al-Khor, Al-Shamal and Al-Ahly. The event was held with aims of paying attention to the buds and the age groups, because they represent an important future in the coming years for the game, and exploring and refining talents from an early year, which facilitates the task of making champions.
The festival witnessed the presence of a large number of the Volleyball Association family, led by QVA and West Asia Volleyball Association President Mr. Ali bin Ghanem Al Kuwari, himself Chairman of the Board of Directors, Hussein Imam, the Technical Expert in the Association, and Ibrahim Al Mahmoud, a Member of the Referees Committee. Also in attendance included a number of officials from Al-Wakra Sports Club, led by Mohammed Abdullah Al Mulla, Head of the Volleyball Authority, and Tamer Sabry, Director of the Club, as well as a large number of coaches of all Qatari national teams in different age groups.
During the conclusion of the festival, Mr Ali bin Ghanem Al Kuwari, accompanied by Captain Mohammed Abdullah Al Mulla and Tamer Sabry, honoured the participating referees, the organizational and technical committees, the participating club teams, coaches, their assistants, and all generous sponsors.
