Gresik, East Java, Indonesia, June 17, 2023 – Referee Delegate Mr Santiago Beny Coonghe from India and Referee Sub-Committee Member Mr Jirachai Kasemsook from Thailand led the 11 accompanying referees during the Referee Clinic on Saturday ahead of the 2023 AVC Challenge Cup for Women.

The Referee Clinic, as conducted to cover both theory and practicals, was held at the competition hall, the Tri Dharma Petrokimia Gresik Gymnasium in East Java’s Gresik City.
Harmonious collaboration between the AVC Control Committee and the Local Organizing Committee, as with any previous competition platforms of the Confederation, proved to be key and central in ensuring preparedness for the conduct of competition.
Technological innovations that ushered in the evolution of the sport have, likewise, been tested during the Clinic. The AVC Volleyball Information System, AVC E-Scoresheet, and the Video Challenge System, have all been applied during the activity, as means to underline the AVC’s utmost responsibility in upholding the integrity of the sport in all of its competition properties.
