Roi Et, Thailand, June 12, 2025 – Roi Et, a northeastern province of Thailand located approximately 451km from Bangkok, is fully prepared to host the South East Asian U21 Beach Volleyball Championships 2025 at Nong Ya Ma Community School competition venue from June 13 to 15, with 20 teams including 12 men’s pairs from six countries competing for regional glory.
The three-day competition, organised by the Southeast Asia Volleyball Association (SAVA) in collaboration with the Asian Volleyball Confederation (AVC) and Roi Et Province, is expected to provide a valuable platform for young beach volleyball talents to hone their skills ahead of the 6th Asian U21 Beach Volleyball Championships, which will also be held at the same venue from June 18 to 21.
With a proven track record of hosting high-profile events such as the 2023 FIVB Beach Volleyball U21 World Championships and the 2022 Asian Women’s Beach Volleyball Championship, Roi Et has once again positioned itself as a trusted host for international beach volleyball, ensuring a smooth and successful tournament experience for all participating teams.
A total of 12 men’s teams from six countries – Indonesia, Vietnam, Malaysia, Singapore, Laos, and hosts Thailand – have confirmed their participation in the much-anticipated tournament. The women’s competition will feature eight teams representing four nations: Singapore, Malaysia, Vietnam, and Thailand.
The men’s teams have been drawn into four pools (A, B, C, and D) of three teams apiece. The top two teams from each pool after the preliminary round will advance to the quarterfinals. Meanwhile, the women’s event features two pools of four teams each, with the top two teams from each pool progressing to the semifinals.
To finalize preparations for the tournament, including competition and officiating matters, the General Technical Meeting was held on Thursday evening at the Silver Meeting Room of Petcharat Garden Hotel. AVC Honorary Life Vice President and Executive Director Mr Shanrit Wongprasert presided over the meeting and extended a warm welcome to all participants.

Also attending the meeting were Technical Delegate Mr Hean Boon Yeow of Malaysia, representatives from all participating teams, Ms Nattalida Sumdangdech, AVC Officer in charge of AVC Beach Volleyball Department, and former AVC Referee Committee Chairman Mr Songsak Chareonpong, who was present as a guest of honour and invited to present team jerseys to the athletes.

Competition gets underway on Friday, with men’s pool matches starting at 8:00am local time, followed by the women’s opening match at 8:50am.
