Hua Mark Indoor Stadium, the main competition for first round, round of 16, quarterfinals, semifinals and finals
Bangkok, Thailand, August 14, 2025 – In just seven days, the heart of Southeast Asia will beat to the rhythm of thundering spikes and roaring crowds. From Bangkok’s bustling capital to the cultural charm of Chiang Mai, from Nakhon Ratchasima’s proud sporting halls to the sun-kissed shores of Phuket, Thailand is ready to welcome the world for the FIVB Volleyball Women’s World Championship 2025.
The arenas are polished, the garlands woven, the flags unfurled. And when the first whistle blows on 22 August, it won’t just be a tournament, it will be a celebration of skill, spirit, and the timeless Thai art of hospitality.
This Friday, 15 August, the first team, Mexico, will touch down on Thai soil. The question is: as hosts, how ready are we?

From the outside, preparations might seem like a few scattered activities here and there. But step behind the scenes and you’ll see a hive of activity, thousands of moving parts coming together with one goal: to welcome the world.
The Thailand Volleyball Association, together with a strong lineup of partners including the Ministry of Tourism and Sports, est Cola, PPTV HD 36, and AIS Play, have been laying the groundwork for months.
Hosting in four different cities is no small feat. It takes manpower, resources, and flawless coordination to ensure everything is ready for the 32 national teams arriving from across the globe.
This year’s tournament will not be confined to Bangkok’s Hua Mark Indoor Stadium alone. Matches will also take place at Chatchai Hall (Nakhon Ratchasima), the Chiang Mai International Exhibition and Convention Centre (Chiang Mai), and Saphan Hin Gymnasium (Phuket), where the first-round clashes will be played from 22–27 August.
At each venue, preparation is a full-scale operation:
• Welcoming & hospitality teams ready to greet athletes and officials.
• Transport and logistics crews ensuring smooth travel.
• Ceremonial teams, competition staff, security units, and more.
Hundreds of association staff, local organisers, and thousands of volunteers are hard at work, from refurbishing courts to decorating arenas, installing banners, promoting the event, and making sure every detail reflects Thailand’s world-class hosting standards.
Airports in host cities are already dressed for the occasion, welcome signs, giant cut-outs of the tournament logo, brochures and flyers at hotels, and national flags of all 32 participating countries waving proudly in public spaces.
This is to ensure that locals, travellers, and even passers-by know the world’s premier women’s volleyball competition is about to take place right here in the Land of Smiles.
Inside the venues, every detail is being fine-tuned, athletes’ locker rooms, media centres, officials’ offices, and working areas for Volleyball World are all being upgraded. Decorations are being put in place to match the prestige of this global stage. On the security side, joint meetings between the police, security guards, and volunteers ensure a safe environment for all players and visitors.
And then there’s the warm Thai welcome, fragrant floral garlands, vibrant colours, and smiling faces awaiting every team’s arrival. From the moment they step off the plane until they reach their destination, they will feel the heart of Thai hospitality.

The championship will also have its own mascot V-Angels, along with souvenirs, from shirts and plush toys to keychains, for athletes, staff, and visiting fans to take home.
After the tournament, tour packages will be available to showcase Thailand’s beauty and bring additional income to local communities.
This Saturday, TVA President Mr. Somporn Chaibangyang will chair the final all-committee meeting. On Sunday, an official press conference will present the nation’s readiness before Volleyball World officials arrive for final coordination ahead of the 22 August kick-off.
In short, Thailand is ready. Nearly 100%. And there’s still time for all of Thais, as proud hosts, to spread the word, share the tournament anthem, and welcome athletes, officials, families, and fans from 32 countries with warmth, smiles, and unforgettable experiences, so they’ll want to return to the Land of Smiles again and again.
Welcome to Thailand! Welcome to the FIVB Volleyball Women’s World Championship Thailand 2025!
