With profound grief and sorrow, TVA has received the tragic news of the passing of Mr Kij on March 30 and on this sad occasion, would like to extend its most heartfelt condolences to the family of the late Founder of Grand Sport Group, a sports equipment manufacturing company based in Thailand and long-standing sponsorship relationship with TVA and AVC alike.
Mr Kij had made significant efforts from the day when TVA remained the unknown sport association to the day when the governing body, under his guidance, has become one of the accomplished sports associations in Thailand.

Thirty-five years down on memory lane, Kij had played a vital role in leading TVA to the global reputation not only by sending Thailand teams to major international volleyball competitions but also hosting several world-class events including the World Grand Prix Finals and underage World Championships. Furthermore, he has been regarded as one of the man behind the success of TVA and the Thailand national teams. He had been team manager of the Thailand women’s national squad in several tournaments including the FIVB World Grand Prix.

Kij was a nice man, prudential and extremely knowledgable. He saw the TVA’s bright future and the hidden expertise of Mr Shanrit Wongprasert and thus invited the now AVC Secretary-General to join the TVA and cooperate with the association for the sake of Thailand volleyball’s sustainable development.
Moreover, the Chinese-speaking Kij had also played a part in coordinating with all parties involved including FIVB and AVC Honorary Life President Mr Wei Jizhong, National Olympic Committee of Thailand and Sports Authority of Thailand in transferring the headquarters of Asia’s governing volleyball body from Beijing to Bangkok in 2014.
