THIRTY ACTIVE CANDIDATES JOIN FIVB COACHES COURSE LEVEL 2 AT FIVB DEVELOPMENT CENTER IN THAILAND

Bangkok, Thailand, July 23, 2024 – The FIVB Coaches Course Level 2, jointly organized by AVC and TVA, is now underway at the FIVB Development Center in Thailand, with 30 active candidates from 11 countries taking part under the close supervision of FIVB Course Instructor Mr Atsushi Andre Katoh from Japan.

The course, which is being conducted in theoretical and practical presentations from July 23 to 27, has attracted candidates from Hong Kong China, Malaysia, China, India, Brazil, Saudi Arabia, Singapore, Macao China, Bangladesh, Nepal and Thailand.

The course presents a fantastic opportunity for coaches to enhance their knowledge and competence and share their valuable experience on the latest trends in the modern game aside from contributing for a unified coaching system and enabling National Federations to develop national coaching programmes.

The Opening Ceremony took place on Tuesday at the FIVB Development Center in Bangkok, with Thailand Volleyball Association President Mr Somporn Chaibangyang presiding. Also in attendance were FIVB Course Instructor Mr Atsushi Andre Katoh, Mr Issara Riddhisinha, General Manager of the FIVB Development Centre in Thailand, AVC Development Coordinator Ms Mingkwan Pusiddusid and senior TVA referee Mr Jirasak Pumduang.

In his welcome speech to all participants, TVA President Mr Somporn said, “On behalf of Thailand Volleyball Association, I would like to extend my sincere appreciation to all participants for your attendance in the opening ceremony. I am very pleased to welcome all of you to FIVB Development Center in Bangkok, Thailand.

“The course will be conducted by Mr Atsushi Andre Katoh, who was very successful and had great experience while coaching at continental and world levels. It is very good opportunity for all attendants from different countries to learn from him and at the same time share your skills and experience among your new friends during the course here.

“I sincerely wish all the participants the best success, I hope that you can bring the knowledge which you obtain from this course to develop and promote volleyball in your countries. I am quite confident that all participants will enjoy the course and create cordial relationship during your attendance here.

“Finally, I would like to express my sincere gratitude to FIVB Course Instructor Mr Atsushi Andre Katoh, FIVB Development Center and Ramkhamhaeng University Sports Office for your great efforts and contributions to conduct this course. I wish all attendants a very pleasant stay in Bangkok and the best result in the course,” he concluded.

In his speech, FIVB Course Instructor Mr Katoh said, “I would like to take this opportunity to welcome you all to the course. I hope that everyone will enjoy the course and have a good time together. The course will last five days and I pin my hopes on all participants to bring knowledge obtained from this course to further your coaching career in the near future.”

After the opening ceremony, Mr Somporn presented a souvenir to Mr Katoh.
