Bangkok, Thailand, February 8, 2023 – After successful staging of the National Boys’ U16 Volleyball Championship in Fergana and the Girls’ U16 Championship in Urgench last October, the Uzbekistan Volleyball Federation is now hosting its National U14 Volleyball Championships in Jizzakh, a city and the centre of Jizzakh Region in Uzbekistan.
The Championships are being held in line with the 2023 calendar plan of the UVF and the Ministry of Youth Policy and Sports of the Republic of Uzbekistan’s main tasks of breeding young bloods to serve future national teams.
A total of 28 teams which have made the cut from qualifying tournaments organised in 14 regions of Uzbekistan are taking part in the on-going Championships, which are due to come to a close on February 11, 2023.
Among the participating athletes, those well-qualified with any sports titles will be kept first-hand observation to make sure that the competitions will be measured by absolute fair means under strong supervision.
Following the results of the competitions, the athletes who perform their best skills will be accepted into the reserve of the Uzbekistan junior national teams in their preparation for future international tournaments.
This is the first competition organised by the Uzbekistan Volleyball Federation in 2023. The UVF has also planned to host around 35 tournaments among age groups this year.
