Hundreds of students from six Bangkok schools got a special taste of volleyball on Thursday, when the Volleyball Experience welcomed them for a day of activities with members of the Thailand men’s national team and the Volleyball Experience volunteers who are all volleyball players.

Ten players joined the event, working with the pupils on skills, drills and small games. Among them were Nattapong Chachamnan, Toopadit Phraput, Anuchit Pakdeekaew, Narongrit Janpirom, Chaiwat Thungkham, Warinthon Kamchoo, Supakorn Jenthaisong, Prasert Pinkaew, Jirapat Bunka and Channarong Khodchasin. Their presence gave the young participants a chance to learn directly from some of the country’s top volleyball players.

The schools taking part were Ban Jiaradap School, Wat Chaeng Ron School, Nakornnonthawittaya 6 Sports School, Natthawet School, Bangkok Metropolitan Sports School and Municipal School 1 (Yiam Kasetsuwan). Their pupils, ages 8 to 16, filled the venue with energy and enthusiasm.

Quick reflex drills keep pupils moving.

Throughout the day, the students took on different volleyball challenges. At one station, they tested their reflexes on reaction walls, moving quickly to tap flashing targets. On the courts, small groups worked on passing and setting, keeping rallies alive under the guidance of national team players. In other areas, students lined up for serving drills and spiking challenges, leaping high to hit balls suspended above them as teammates cheered.

The mix of activities created a lively atmosphere where students could try new skills, share the fun with classmates and enjoy moments of encouragement from the national team players.

By the end of the event, the Volleyball Experience had delivered on its aim of bringing pupils closer to the game, creating memorable interactions between young players and Thailand’s national team
