Manama, Bahrain, August 5, 2025 – The Arab Volleyball Association is in the final stages of preparation to host the highly anticipated 17th Arab U18 Volleyball Championship, scheduled to take place in Amman, Jordan, from August 16 to 25, 2025. With less than two weeks to go, anticipation is mounting for a tournament that promises top-tier action and showcases the region’s most promising young talent.
The championship will bring together 10 national teams from across the Arab world, with hosts Jordan welcoming Egypt, Iraq, Bahrain, Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Libya, Lebanon, Palestine, and the United Arab Emirates.
The teams have been drawn into two pools. Pool A features Jordan, Egypt, Libya, Lebanon, and the UAE, while Pool B consists of Bahrain, Saudi Arabia, Iraq, Kuwait, and Palestine.
The preliminary round, which will follow a round-robin format within each pool, will run from August 16. The top four teams from each group will advance to the knockout stage, with the semifinals set for August 23, followed by classification matches on August 24. The tournament will culminate in the gold and bronze medal matches on August 25.
Organized by the Arab Volleyball Association under the leadership of AVA President Shaikh Ali bin Mohammed Al Khalifa, who also serves as President of the Bahrain Volleyball Association, the event is poised to strengthen regional volleyball ties and provide a platform for rising stars across the Arab nations.
Jordan, having previously hosted the 2024 edition, is nearing full readiness, with venues, logistics, and accommodation arrangements reported to be on track.
The 17th Arab U18 Championship is set to be a celebration of youth sport, unity, and the bright future of volleyball in the Arab world.
